Do you have a tail dragger? You will be much better served with two of our Combo Lights or our Tail Dragger Max lights instead of two of these.
If you have a rectangular halogen light fitting in your plane then this is the light upgrade you were looking for! The heatsinks behind the lights need a 40x120mm hole to fit into, which is only a little wider than the existing hole you already have.
Supplied un-assembled as the completed light PCB, heatsinks and collimating lens, the light requires about 20 minutes of assembly time.
Assembly instructions available here and on YouTube.
The board is 150x60mm (6"x 2.4") in size, and it can be trimmed down to a minimum of 135x40mm (5.3"x1.6"). The heatsinks extend 70mm behind the board, and the collimating lenses are 27mm tall.
Minimum cutout size for heatsinks is 120x40mm.
11.3 oz / 320 grams
Note that the Triple Spotlight is very similar in size to the lights called out to fit a Van's RV-12. A few scraps of aluminium or some angle profile will have you mounting these in the same way as per the plans. Essentially the same current draw and light output for 1/3rd the price...
Check out Omar's very neat Triple Spotlight installation in a GlaStar wing.
