The Double LED spotlight comes from our "The Works" kit and is now available individually. These would be fantastic for the leading edges in a smaller light bay in aircraft other than Van's, or perhaps mounted in the cowling behind some plexiglass for full light coverage.

Supplied un-assembled as the completed light PCB, heatsinks, collimating lens, nutplates and rivets, the light requires about 15 minutes of assembly time. (No soldering required!)
The board size is 95x50 mm, and weighs just over 200 grams/7oz. The heatsinks extend 70mm behind the board, and the collimating lenses extend 27mm in front of the board. The lights are not waterproof (or very aerodynamic!) so they need to be mounted behind plexiglass in your DIY creations.
You must ensure that the light will be securely mounted to your plane and free from the effects of vibration.
I purchased a pair of Double Spots and a Wigwag Switch from you about 12 months ago. I have had several comments from regional and air ambulance pilots about how good they are. Last week a REX pilot told me he could clearly see my lights 10 nautical miles away on a sunny day when I made my call on final. He thought I must have been much closer but then noticed on their TCAS I was indeed 10 miles inbound. Great product! 👍 Dom M, Aust.OPTIONAL:
Option 1: Add our new Adapter Plate to your Double Spotlight order and you have the simplest drop-in option to upgrade your old rectangular halogen light(s) in your plane.
The kit consists of one adapter plate and four 1.5" screws and solid spacers.
The plate has two mounting holes spaced 5" apart, matching the nutplates your plane likely already has. The panel is 5.5" x 2.5" / 140 x 65mm.
Option 2 is the additional mounting screws and springs that are normally supplied with The Works kit. These will allow you to adjust the aim of the lights in your DIY creations.
(Note: not required if you're going with Option 1)
Option 3: We can also supply some optional beam diffuser lenses that will widen the light beam out to 30 degrees, perfect for changing these into to taxi lights.
Option 4: We now have a new version of the light suitable for 24 volt aircraft. Slightly smaller at 40x95mm board size. 1 amp current draw for 2400 lumens.
