You're building a whole aeroplane... now you can build your lights too!
Designed to exceed the minimum anti-collision lighting requirements for certified aircraft, you will be seen with our LED position and strobe lights.
"I want to let you know how many positive comments I get about the Flyleds position and strobe lights I have installed! When I landed and parked at the Triple Tree fly in I had three people waiting for me to shut down. They asked if I could turn the nav lights back on as they saw me coming from far away and couldn't believe how bright they were in full sunshine." Chris M
DIY Kit- Built by you. You need to solder all of the components onto the boards. It should only take you about 4 hours to complete the kit in the comfort of your desk at home.
The $249 kit comes with both left and right wing boards, the central controller board, and all of the parts required to make your plane bright!
Complete your lighting requirements with our $99 tail light.
You only need basic hand tools like flush or side cutters and some pliers (~$10 each), but you must have a temperature controlled soldering iron with a fine point tip. Even something like the cheapy from this selection will do the job. (Your 200 watt soldering iron you use to fix holes in your roof won't be suitable!) We have included a length of solder in the kit for you.
Step by step instructions are provided. These can also be viewed on the info page.
"I just thought I’d let you know my 14 year old son who had no soldering experience soldered all the boards up on the weekend and did a great job. Your instructions were great and he even remembered to put the battery back in the smoke detector after testing. We also tested them on the car battery and they are super bright!" Ryan M
Or, let us solder it for you! We can assemble the kit for you, and you just need to final fit the boards to your wings.
The strobes are switch configurable for several different flash patterns.
New for 2024, the controller board can also turn on the strobe LEDs continuously so you get an additional flood of light off the ends of your wingtips. This helps to improve your peripheral vision and illuminate the taxiway edges and any four legged obstructions. Our customers tell us this is a really undersold and useful feature for identifying taxiway turnoffs.
450 grams/16 oz total weight. (That's only 200 grams/7 oz per wing!)
Suited for 12 volt systems only.

Some more customer feedback:
"I finally finished my RV-7 and flew it this past week. From those that have seen the plane I usually get either one of two comments: 'Nice airplane!', or 'Those strobes sure are bright!'" Brian S
"This is the second set of lights I am ordering from you. I was so happy with my first set in my first RV10, now that I am building another RV10 it was an easy decision." Amer K.
"I installed your lights in my RV-7 last week and just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with the quality of the Flyleds kit and the final result. Your lights are many times more visible than what was previously installed. It has certainly been a worthwhile upgrade!" Chris S.
"I am still so impressed by your lights! The other day I took an early morning flight to visit a friend and he was stunned that he could see my lights when I was still 20 miles out. I have just the strobes and position lights on my wingtips. I am always getting comments on how bright they are." Bill R
